Artists Reimagining Therapy & Systems
Being an artist or arts-worker has always meant a life of impermanence and uncertainty, but pandemic lockdowns and COVID-19 restrictions have led to heightened levels of unemployment, social isolation, financial insecurity, and disconnection from support systems for the entire arts community. Our mission is to provide hope, support, and tangible tools for measurable growth and change by making mental health and wellness services accessible to artists and arts workers.
Mental Health & Wellness Programming
Our guiding philosophy is to provide evidence-based, participant-focused individual and group counseling informed by the voices and needs of artists and arts-workers, grounded in systems-focused interventions. Systems-focused work provides participating members with a sense of community, tools for exploration and growth, and guidance in the discovery of who they are and what they might become.
One-on-One & Group Counseling
Our group and one-on-one counseling are facilitated by former visual and performing artists who have extensive mental health and wellness clinical education and training. Program facilitators are Licensed Clinical Social Work therapists (LCSW) and Master of Social Work therapists (MSW) from New York’s leading universities.
BIPOC & LGBTQ+ Artists and Arts-workers
While uplifting and resourcing mental health and wellness opportunities for the arts community, we seek to address years of marginalization and structural inequities faced by BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists and arts-workers by actively recruiting and holding space for members within these populations.
